Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for its IT Modernization team. This role focuses on implementing new applications and enabling new technologies, including AI/ML, Generative AI, and Cloud solutions, and may involve industry research and roadmap development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering detailed business/technical requirements, documenting "as-is" and "to-be" business process maps, and leading small to medium-sized initiatives across various business stakeholders (e.G., Customer Care, Finance, Engineering, Construction, Procurement).
Reporting to an IT Project Manager/Lead, the Business Analyst will translate functional business needs into IT system requirements, identify effective business solutions, and recommend process re-designs for efficiency. This is a client-facing role requiring strong results and detail orientation, and excellent presentation and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Documenting Business Requirements & Creating Process Maps: Gathering and documenting detailed business/technical requirements, facilitating review sessions, validating requirements, creating functional/technical designs, documenting current/future state processes, and preparing process maps (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
Project Management Collaboration: Proactively updating Project Leads/Managers, ensuring timely project delivery, and participating in end-to-end implementation planning.
Presentations & Training: Preparing business presentations and reports (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and training documentation.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Creating and executing test cases/scripts, and coordinating UAT with end users.
Continuous Improvements: Researching industry trends to improve IT systems and services.
Required Experience:
College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum 6+ years of Business Analysis experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience preparing "as-is" and "to-be" process documentation, and performing detailed gap analysis.
Self-starter with an interest in new solutions (AI/ML, Generative AI, Cloud).
Results-oriented and capable of timely, quality deliverables.
Experience gathering, validating, and documenting detailed business requirements and design elements.
Proven ability to complete technical projects (including data integration).
Clear, concise, and professional communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work collaboratively within a business unit team.
Experience preparing end-user documentation and conducting end-user training.
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
