Lead a team of production support analysts in Toronto, providing high-touch trading floor support to Fixed Income Rates and Credits Desks.
Act as a Player/Coach, combining technical and business knowledge, leadership, project management, and communication skills.
Manage production, serving as an escalation point for operational teams in incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis.
Own day-to-day operational support, driving production stability, reliability, and service excellence.
Use a data-driven approach for stability, partnering with Application Development teams and vendors.
Ensure accurate logging of incidents, conduct Problem Review Meetings, and track action items.
Drive efficiencies through tools and process improvements.
Provide effective support and subject matter expertise to the team, building relationships with Trading desks.
Required Skills & Experience:
10+ years in IT, with 5+ years strong knowledge of Capital Markets, including Fixed Income Products (FX, Cash, Derivatives, Structured Products, Commodities, Futures).
Solid experience in technology support for Capital Markets trading and related functions, with hands-on knowledge of the full Fixed Income trading lifecycle.
Strong, hands-on support knowledge of BBG, Bloomberg TOMS, TradeWeb, ION is essential.
Superior Major Incident Management experience, excellent communication, and temperament.
Solid Linux, SQL, and scripting language (Shell, Perl, Java, Python, etc.) experience.
Good knowledge of enterprise scheduler platforms and monitoring tools (Control-M, Geneos, Tableau, ServiceNow).
Solid knowledge and experience implementing ITIL Service management practices (Event, Incident, Problem, Change management).
Nice to Have:
Working knowledge of Murex.
Experience in DevOps and cloud technology (AWS, GridGain).
