Our client is seeking a designated CPA with 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience to join their Finance team. This hybrid role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, with a strong focus on regulatory accounting (IFRS and APH) and detailed financial analysis. The role involves quarterly consolidated financial statement input and review, monthly journal entries, and providing financial analysis for regulatory filings and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare and review inputs for consolidated financial statement note disclosures (quarterly). - Execute routine and non-routine journal entries and reconciliations (monthly/quarterly). - Ensure compliance with emerging IFRS and Accounting Procedures Handbook (APH) requirements. - Provide financial information and analysis for regulatory filings and internal management reports. - Implement and monitor accounting/regulatory policies and internal controls, supporting external audits. - Analyze financial performance, communicate key value drivers, and lead cross-functional initiatives for process improvement and accountability.
Skills & Experience Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. Designation: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation in Canada is required. Experience: Five (5) or more years of progressive financial analysis experience. Preferred: Understanding of regulatory accounting and MIFRS.
