Our Client is seeking a Solution Architect to support the Request for Information (RFI) phase of its ERP System Selection initiative. This role is crucial for evaluating Tier 1 ERP platforms (e.G., Microsoft Dynamics, Infor Syteline) and strategic partners, ensuring architectural requirements align with future-state business needs, specifically within the heavy equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and document architectural requirements for comprehensive ERP capabilities (service, finance, parts, sales, supply chain, remanufacturing, rental, and eCommerce).
Evaluate and compare current ancillary applications for potential consolidation or replacement.
Collaborate with Gartner consultants and internal SMEs on the Traceability Matrix and capability maps.
Assess architectural fit and scalability during vendor evaluation sessions (demos and proposal reviews).
Support the RFI package development, including technical requirements, integration, and data architecture expectations.
Advise on risks related to legacy systems (e.G., Extend ERP, custom integrations).
Required Experience & Qualifications:
8+ years in solution architecture, with direct experience in ERP system evaluations or transitions.
Familiarity with Gartner-led RFI processes and capability mapping frameworks.
Strong understanding of ERP systems, accompanying applications, and transition risks.
Experience in architectural documentation, vendor engagement, and enterprise integration planning.
Preferred: Experience in the heavy equipment/industrial services sector, knowledge of Tier 1 ERP vendor ecosystems, and certifications like TOGAF or AWS/Azure Architecture.

Evaluation summaries and recommendations from vendor demos.
