The Director, Fixed Income Settlements Technology is the strategic technology owner responsible for the direction, leadership, and modernization of the Global Fixed Income Technology portfolio. This role requires developing and implementing an operations technology strategy focused on mitigating operational risk and delivering business value in collaboration with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Technology & Program Leadership: Manage all technological aspects of Fixed Income Settlements and Clearing. This includes owning and managing a global project portfolio ($2MM to $15MM spend) and ensuring the timely development and implementation of complex, cross-business line IT solutions.
Modernization & Delivery: Drive continuous improvement by applying modern technology to operational requirements and implementing new practices and frameworks such as Agile, Lean, and DevOps. Ensure round-the-clock global production support for applications.
Governance and Risk: Ensure technology strategies are supported in compliance with governing internal standards and global financial regulations. Manage policy development and own vendor relationships for the Fixed Income Settlements portfolio.
Team Leadership: Lead and oversee Operations Technology within Capital Markets globally, managing succession planning and development for a team of currently 75 staff. Build a high-performance, customer-focused environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
12+ years of IT and business/industry work experience.
Engineering/Development or a strong technical background is essential.
Relevant capital markets knowledge and experience (existing systems and new technologies like Broadridge).
Demonstrated experience in managing medium to large IT projects and complex technology programs.
Process knowledge in scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and systems design.
Effective communication skills to executive leadership, business leaders, and staff.
