Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Security Architecture and Engineering to lead and expand their security engineering and architecture efforts. This pivotal role will take on a broad scope of responsibilities to further strengthen their organization's security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the strategic leader for the security architecture and engineering team, providing direction and mentorship.
Lead the design and implementation of robust security architectures, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive cloud security strategy.
Continuously evaluate emerging security technologies and drive innovation.
Conduct and oversee thorough security assessments, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
Collaborate with technology, operations, and business teams to integrate security by design principles.
Drive the design and implementation of security platforms, automation, and operational use cases.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent industry certifications.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years in security architecture, engineering, or related information security roles. At least 4 years of leadership experience within a security architecture or engineering team. Experience within the financial services sector, particularly in Canada, is preferred.
