As an Electronic Circuit Design Automation and DevOps Professional/Engineer, you will support electronics development teams in automating design, integration, and testing of satellite payloads and related space electronics. This includes design automation, analysis, and production test results, as well as setting up and maintaining engineering tool infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design, document, and implement systems to automate electronics and software development.
Manage engineering tools and third-party intellectual property (procurement, licensing, installation, upgrades, maintenance renewals, IT capacity planning).
Establish governance, organize information, and guide users in digital transformation.
Support migrating tools to the cloud (AWS, Azure, Databricks).
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues specific to engineering activities.
Create and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
Implement, maintain, and improve application/system monitoring for key performance metrics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience.
Mastery of scripting languages (Python, Powershell, Groovy, Bash, VBScript, etc.).
Relevant experience in CI/CD (Jenkins or Gitlab CI).
Understanding of FPGAs, PCB design, or software development tools.
Knowledge of agile software development practices.
Understanding of computer networking and security basics in an enterprise context.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide high-quality documents at an appropriate level of detail in communications with both IT and users.
Must be on-site in Montreal at least three days per week.
Assets
Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills (performance optimization, security, high availability).
Experience with source control (Git, SVN).
Experience automating environments on Azure Cloud.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools.
Experience with Docker and container orchestrators (Kubernetes).
Experience with configuration management tools.
Experience with SQL databases.
Web development experience for GUI tools.
Knowledge of virtual machine creation and deployment (VMware, VSphere, VirtualBox).
Experience with security governance and audit teams, and implementing security standards.
