Job Description

Purpose:
  • Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of core infrastructure.
  • Ensures system availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Leads a team of infrastructure professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates core infrastructure alignment with business goals.
  • Translates technical requirements into infrastructure enhancements.
  • Oversees design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems.
  • Manages daily operations of the infrastructure team.
  • Develops and enforces IT policies and procedures.
  • Manages vendor relationships and budgets.
  • Leads infrastructure upgrades and modernization initiatives.
  • Ensures performance and health monitoring of infrastructure.
  • Identifies and remediates security vulnerabilities.
Technical Focus:
  • Networking (LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Load Balancing, Security Engineering, Routing/Switching).
  • Data Centre (Linux/Windows Administration, Virtualization, Storage/Backup, Cloud Integration).
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in data centre, network, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery, and cloud.
  • Ability to lead infrastructure teams and manage projects.
  • Understanding of IT service management principles (ITIL).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in managing vendors and SLAs.
