Job Description

Our client is seeking a Product Design Lead to head the design of complex enterprise software for their core business operations (planning, purchasing, order management, vendor management). This is a foundational role in a newly established Design capability, focused on creating functional, thoughtful, and intuitive UX/UI solutions in close partnership with Product Management and Engineering. This in-office role requires both strategic and hands-on tactical execution.

Contract to hire.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design for a specific product area, guiding current-state and future-state user flows and producing high-quality UX/UI designs.
  • Translate operational insights into intuitive product experiences.
  • Collaborate with internal operators, SMEs, Product, and Engineering to deeply understand user needs and align on problems-to-solve.
  • Facilitate workshops to drive alignment and clearly document design decisions.

Looking for candidates who:
  • Are energized to create clarity out of complexity and apply systems thinking to design challenges.
  • Take a human-centered approach to solving complex business and technical problems.
  • Are highly collaborative and can balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution.

Experience required:
  • 5+ years in Product UX/UI Design, with at least 1 year in a design lead role.
  • Track record designing for operations-heavy environments (e.G., supply chain, logistics) and for complex ERP or SaaS tools.
  • Strong product thinking—comfortable navigating user needs, business logic, and systems.
  • Proficiency in Figma and/or emerging Generative AI tools.
  • Ability to lead user research, including in-field observations and usability testing.
