Alquemy's Montreal client is seeking an Intermediate Technican to join their team on a direct placement hire.
The Intermediate Electronics Technician will perform a variety of tasks related to established systems or new projects of low to medium complexity. They will be required to work from written instructions or general guidelines and participate in the testing of electronic units and complex systems.
Responsibility / Tasks:
Under the mentorship of more experienced technicians or technical staff, the intermediate technician will:
Assemble and modify developmental electronic circuits from specific guidelines.
Assemble, modify and verify test benches and/or test equipment.
Perform basic RF unit tests (interference measurements, noise figure, RF gain and power supply, amplifier compression tests, oscillation verification).
Perform basic RF measurements with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and other RF-related measuring instruments. (Reflection coefficient, return loss, insertion loss, gain, power)
Install test electronic assemblies in their test jigs.
Perform thermal and vacuum thermal tests on various RF electronic sub-assemblies.
Record test or experiment results.
Follow and understand flight test processes.
Perform work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
Perform other related duties.

Qualifications:
College diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications or related field
2 to 5 years' relevant experience
Fluency in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset.

**Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
