Job Description


Our client is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Specialist to lead configuration, administration, and operational support of our Microsoft Fabric environment. This role will ensure the platform is secure, performant, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with data platform operations, environment configuration, monitoring, and ongoing optimization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Configuration & Administration
  • Configure and administer Microsoft Fabric capacities, workspaces, security roles, and tenant settings
  • Manage OneLake storage configuration and governance controls
  • Implement RBAC, data access policies, and integration with Azure AD
  • Configure networking, gateways, and connectivity to enterprise data sources

Operations & Support
  • Monitor Fabric capacity utilization, performance metrics, and cost optimization
  • Troubleshoot pipelines, notebooks, semantic models, and dataflows
  • Provide L2/L3 operational support and incident resolution
  • Implement backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures
  • Maintain operational documentation and runbooks

Data Engineering & Integration Support
  • Support deployment and configuration of Data Factory pipelines within Fabric
  • Assist with Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Real-Time Analytics setup
  • Optimize SQL endpoints and semantic models
  • Collaborate with BI teams supporting Power BI artifacts

Governance & Security
  • Implement data governance, lineage tracking, and compliance controls
  • Manage environment promotion strategies (Dev/Test/Prod)
  • Support CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps or Git integration

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience with Microsoft data platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure and identity management
  • Experience with Power BI administration and semantic models
  • Experience configuring Data Factory pipelines (Fabric or Azure)
  • Solid troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
