Our client is currently seeking an Design Engineer at the MTS/Engineer to Senior MTS/Engineer level in the field of Avionics Box Design.
The successful candidate will support the Electrical Engineering Department across a range of projects. As part of the Design Office team, you will contribute to logistics and sustaining engineering programs, robotics systems, rover initiatives, and R&D activities. Duties and Responsibilities:
- The interested candidates do not need to be experienced in all areas below but should demonstrate knowledge of at least - Computer Aided Design (CAD) and engineering drawing creation. - Prepare drawings and BOMs for avionics chassis, CCAs, PCBs, and cable harnesses for space and terrestrial applications - Create cable assembly drawings in NX or AutoCAD and design cable mechanisms for rotary interfaces - Perform cable routing, 3D modelling, and integrate cross-discipline design inputs (electrical, thermal, structural, materials) - Execute avionics chassis design activities considering EMI/EMC, thermal, structural, mass, and volume constraints - Develop production documentation, standards, templates, and contribute to the internal CAD library Assets:
Knowledge of geometrical tolerancing, drawing standards
Knowledge of space sector
Experience with NX/Teamcenter, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, MS Visio, Altium and OrCAD is an asset
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering
Strong oral, written and verbal communication skills
