We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role involves designing, integrating, and testing mechanical systems for cutting-edge projects. The ideal candidate has strong CAD expertise, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and experience in mechanical design and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative mechanical designs.
Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 to mechanical components.
Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and select appropriate components for designs.
Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues during development.
Support assembly and testing activities to ensure compliance with system requirements.
Estimate work tasks and manage project timelines effectively.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and drafting.
Proficiency in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of GD&T and its application in mechanical parts.
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems is an asset.
Post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance and pass assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR compliance.
