About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role involves designing, integrating, and testing mechanical systems for cutting-edge projects. The ideal candidate has strong CAD expertise, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and experience in mechanical design and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative mechanical designs.
  • Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 to mechanical components.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and select appropriate components for designs.
  • Identify and resolve design and manufacturing issues during development.
  • Support assembly and testing activities to ensure compliance with system requirements.
  • Estimate work tasks and manage project timelines effectively.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and drafting.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and its application in mechanical parts.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems is an asset.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance and pass assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR compliance.
