Our Client is seeking a Satellite Systems Payload EngineerThe Role Provide RF and Electrical System design, performance analysis, and end-to-end testing for advanced telecommunication payloads. You will lead payload architecture design and performance budgeting (Capacity, Gain, G/T, EIRP) throughout the full project life cycle—from initial bids and requirements to integration, testing, and in-orbit support.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Analysis: Lead payload design activities and evaluate electrical/RF system performance.
Documentation: Generate system requirements, verification matrices, equipment specifications, and system budgets.
Technical Reviews: Support major program milestones including PDR, CDR, and worst-case analysis.
Integration & Test (AI&T): Oversee payload assembly, test supervision, data analysis, and In-Orbit Testing (IOT).
Subcontractor Management: Provide technical monitoring for major hardware suppliers.
Operations: Support DC/RF harness design and author Payload Operations Manuals.
Required Qualifications
Education: BSc in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 10+ years in Telecommunications Satellite Payloads or complex systems architecture.
Technical Depth: Proven track record in RF architectures, digital beamforming, and end-to-end (ground/space) systems.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills for international client interaction.
Preferred Expertise
Hardware: Direct Radiating Array (DRA) antennas, Digital Channelizers, and Modems.
Protocols/Standards: DVB-S2X, DVB-RCS2, Ethernet, MPLS, SpaceWire, and CANBus.
Modeling: RF communication system simulation and digital signal processing.
Leadership: Experience leading design teams and managing technology roadmaps.
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
