The Data Engineer will develop and deliver a security master database, providing technical expertise in building and maintaining robust data pipelines and assets. This role requires advanced Python knowledge and experience with PowerBI.
Key Duties:
Data Engineering: Plan, structure, and optimize data flow to create a 360-degree view of financial instruments. Partner with stakeholders to create efficient data ingestion and processing pipelines. Source, cleanse, and normalize financial instrument data from multiple providers. Manage and maintain the securities database, continuously reviewing and optimizing workflows. Participate in Agile ceremonies.
Leadership & Technical Expertise: Resolve inquiries about financial data, act as a key supporting resource for the financial market security master database. Lead the creation and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions and programming languages for data strategy. Participate in code review, knowledge sharing, and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of securities master and capital market data.
Strong experience delivering complex data solutions using open-source tools and Microsoft Azure services.
Experience with Advanced Analytics, Data Visualization, and/or application development languages/tools (Python, R, DataBricks, PowerBI).
Strong experience working with big data (structured and unstructured).
Ability to handle/analyze high volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
Educational/Technical Training Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in a STEM program (Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related).
10+ years of relevant experience in the financial industry and capital market data.
