Our client is seeking a Java expert to join their Post Trade Technology team, managing back-office processing systems for US Fixed Income and Equities products. This role involves developing and maintaining in-house systems, managing vendor SaaS solutions, and potentially growing into a technical lead.
Responsibilities:
Function as a senior member of the MSSOT US Post Trade Technology team, collaborating with global teams.
Act as a technology expert for application development, ensuring successful development, testing, and rollout of changes.
Prioritize and deliver enhancements while maintaining high performance.
Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and cost optimization.
Adopt Agile and DevOps methodologies and ensure automation tools are utilized.
Define and execute SLA-based procedures for 24/5 production cycles.
Day-to-Day:
Design, develop, and implement innovative technology solutions for Market Operations.
Ensure system reliability, handle user inquiries, and manage out-of-hours releases and maintenance.
Maintain infrastructure, including upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery.
Develop application material and communicate with clients, overseeing local and offshore support.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Strong experience with Java Spring Boot, designing scalable web services, and REST APIs.
Advanced knowledge of front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular).
Object-oriented programming concepts in Java.
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL Server) and complex SQL queries.
Proficiency with workflow orchestration, Unix Shell scripting, and cloud migration.
Working knowledge of distributed microservices architecture.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience with change management, incident management, and ITIL fundamentals.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Exposure to distributed data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
Exposure to React/NodeJS.
Experience with DevOps/CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform), Geneos/Grafana.
Familiarity with RTC, JIRA, Confluence, Control-M, and Broadridge systems.
Understanding of investment bank front and back office process flows and regulatory controls (SOX).
