We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Support - Mainframe to support critical enterprise applications and services. This role will focus on incident recovery, problem management, change and release support, and maintaining service stability across global environments.
Responsibilities
Lead incident investigation and service recovery, coordinating technical teams and stakeholders through resolution.
Monitor and communicate service impact, recovery progress, and escalation activities.
Investigate recurring issues, participate in root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain knowledge articles, runbooks, and operational documentation.
Support change and release activities, including disaster recovery testing, patching, and system upgrades.
Ensure adherence to incident, change, release, and service management processes.
Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions and support changing priorities or schedules as required.
Requirements
5–7+ years of production support and/or application development experience.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, production support, and service stability.
Mainframe experience with CICS, DB2, COBOL, MQ, TWS, and SPUFI.
Knowledge of incident, problem, change, release, and disaster recovery management.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and escalation skills.
Experience working with global and virtual teams.
Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude.
Nice to Have
Experience in banking, payments, or financial services.
Knowledge of SQL, Java/J2EE, Unix, Oracle, MQ, and WebSphere.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, or Geneos.
