The Project Lead will lead a cross-functional team of hardware designers in the full lifecycle of mixed signal (Digital & RF) electronics units for satellites and space-based systems. This includes units for complex digital control, mass-memory, and motor drive applications using “new space”technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Digital/Analog design team for space products and coordinate with cross-functional specialties (RF, systems, power, thermal, packaging, etc.).
Responsible for program delivery, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical requirements are met.
Prioritize team tasks and goals to meet program milestones.
Assess risk and make risk-based decisions throughout the program lifecycle.
Oversee procurement and production tasks, and support new business proposal opportunities.
Ensure the Digital/Analog team adheres to quality and reliability standards.
Guide junior members and coordinate the conversion of system-level requirements into electronic unit-level requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Ten (10) years minimum experience designing processor, high-speed, or mixed signal PCBs.
Three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience, successfully leading electronics development teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
Experience with cost and schedule planning.
Knowledge in Agile methodology (Scrum, Agile at scale).
Knowledge and experience with tools like Excel, JIRA, or MS Access.
Understanding of electronic circuits, communication protocols, and PCB manufacturing processes.
Exposure to RF design, mixed signal, or high-speed design.
