We are seeking a Senior Systems & Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise server, identity, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on building secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure while supporting the transition of infrastructure operations from a managed service provider to an internal team.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, virtualization, storage, and backup environments.
Design and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including IaaS, landing zones, governance, security, and cost management.
Administer Microsoft SQL Server, including security, backup/recovery, patching, performance, and high availability.
Lead infrastructure audits, gap assessments, lifecycle planning, and architecture standards.
Manage server patching, vulnerability management, monitoring, disaster recovery, and restore testing.
Support infrastructure integration across IT and operational environments, including remote sites and occasional travel.
Lead the transition of infrastructure operations from a managed service provider to an internal infrastructure team.
Maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, recovery procedures, and technical standards.
Collaborate with network and security teams to implement infrastructure, security, and identity controls.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in systems and cloud infrastructure engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, PKI, SQL Server, VMware/Hyper-V, storage, and backup/recovery.
Strong experience designing and managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
Proficiency with PowerShell;experience with Terraform or Bicep is an asset.
Experience with infrastructure security, governance, and hybrid IT environments.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.
Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-305 are an asset.
Experience with infrastructure modernization, enterprise environments, or managed-service transitions is an asset.
