Job Description


Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements for billing processes, translating business needs into actionable system and process requirements.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical teams to map current-state processes, define future-state workflows, and co-develop simplified, automated solutions using existing technology.
  • Project Support: Contribute to project planning and budgeting, estimate effort for various activities, and provide input on scope, resources, and vendor needs.
  • Implementation & Facilitation: Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring requirements are understood and implemented as designed, and facilitating cross-team collaboration for alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance.
  • Testing Leadership: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Integration Testing, and Solution Verification, including developing test cases and tracking issue resolution.
  • Deployment & Post-Go-Live Support: Support deployment planning, release readiness, cutover activities, and provide post-go-live support to monitor solution performance and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Documentation Ownership: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business processes, solution design, testing artifacts, and training materials.
  • Methodology & Mentorship: Advise and mentor project teams on various methodologies (e.G., waterfall, agile) and coach other Business Analysts on processes, techniques, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong hands-on experience with business process mapping and requirements gathering, specifically for financial processes.
  • Ability to analyze current-state workflows and co-design simplified, automated solutions.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery (discovery, design, implementation).
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms (e.G., Workday, Salesforce, RPA tools) is an asset.
  • Ability to work across business and technical teams.
  • Excellent facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in Business Analysis (e.G., CBAP), Project Management (e.G., PMP), or Change Management.
  • Minimum eight years of related experience, including at least two years of managerial experience.
  • Degree in IT or Business Administration.
  • Experience implementing COTS systems (e.G., CRM, Salesforce, Workday).
  • Project experience in a higher education or public sector environment.
  • Experience with RFPs, change management, data management, and enterprise architecture.
  • Technical expertise in IT project management of large-scale systems, including development, enterprise architecture, business process change, quality assurance, testing, data migration, and systems integration.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Senior Project Manager within the project team, working closely with senior leadership and staff in administrative and academic units.
