Job Description

Purpose:

Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of core infrastructure.
Ensures system availability, scalability, and performance.
Leads a team of infrastructure professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluates core infrastructure alignment with business goals.
Translates technical requirements into infrastructure enhancements.
Oversees design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems.
Manages daily operations of the infrastructure team.
Develops and enforces IT policies and procedures.
Manages vendor relationships and budgets.
Leads infrastructure upgrades and modernization initiatives.
Ensures performance and health monitoring of infrastructure.
Identifies and remediates security vulnerabilities.

Technical Focus:

Networking (LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Load Balancing, Security Engineering, Routing/Switching).
Data Centre (Linux/Windows Administration, Virtualization, Storage/Backup, Cloud Integration).

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
10+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
5+ years of hands-on technical experience in data centre, network, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery, and cloud.
Ability to lead infrastructure teams and manage projects.
Understanding of IT service management principles (ITIL).
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in managing vendors and SLAs.
