Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Tech Lead to drive the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of critical applications. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with deep expertise in Java, modern development practices, and end-to-end release management, capable of working collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery and Leadership: Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable application features and enhancements. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to the development team.
Deployment and CI/CD: Own and execute the end-to-end promotion process across all environments, ensuring builds, deployments, and releases are executed smoothly. Oversee and execute off-hours releases as needed, ensuring CI/CD pipelines are optimized and stable.
Application Support: Support production applications, conduct root-cause analysis for incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues impacting performance or user experience. Participate in hands-on coding when necessary.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5–10 years of experience in application development for enterprise-scale, mission-critical systems, including 5+ years in application deployment, release coordination, and production rollout execution.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java, debugging, performance tuning, modern frameworks, and solid understanding of application architecture and integration patterns. Experience with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across all layers.
Process & Leadership: Proven ability to drive out solutions, make sound technical decisions, and lead teams through delivery. Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and flexibility to support weeknight or weekend deployments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), knowledge of microservices, containerization, API development, and familiarity with observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, etc.).
