Job Description

This Consultant role provides support for a Windows server environment (on-premises and cloud). Key responsibilities include:
  • Deploying, maintaining, and upgrading Windows servers.
  • Providing Level 2 technical support and ongoing maintenance.
  • Supporting application owners, developers, and internal/external teams via a ticketing system.
  • Creating detailed documentation (SOPs) for all changes, upgrades, and procedures.
  • Recommending performance, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting critical applications in a hybrid environment.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with Windows Server systems, Microsoft Group Policies, and Microsoft SCCM.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in performance and capacity monitoring for critical servers.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience developing and supporting Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Azure.
  • Experience maintaining and upgrading Windows 2008 –2019 Server Environments.
  • Advanced understanding of Windows server support.
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (Ansible playbooks, PowerShell, or Python).
  • Ability to create automation scripts and deploy orchestration/automation processes.
  • Ability to make technical decisions in a large-scale, highly isolated production environment.
Additional considerations:
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Change Management policies.
  • Experience creating documentation (Visio Diagrams, support documents) and conducting Knowledge Transfer sessions.
