Please inquire before applying.<br>*1 Year Contract<br><br>Our client is currently seeking an Design Engineer at the MTS/Engineer to Senior MTS/Engineer level in the field of Avionics Box Design.<br><br>The successful candidate will support the Electrical Engineering Department across a range of projects. As part of the Design Office team, you will contribute to logistics and sustaining engineering programs, robotics systems, rover initiatives, and R&D activities.<br>Duties and Responsibilities:<br><br>- The interested candidates do not need to be experienced in all areas below but should demonstrate knowledge of at least<br>- Computer Aided Design (CAD) and engineering drawing creation.<br>- Prepare drawings and BOMs for avionics chassis, CCAs, PCBs, and cable harnesses for space and terrestrial applications<br>- Create cable assembly drawings in NX or AutoCAD and design cable mechanisms for rotary interfaces<br>- Perform cable routing, 3D modelling, and integrate cross-discipline design inputs (electrical, thermal, structural, materials)<br>- Execute avionics chassis design activities considering EMI/EMC, thermal, structural, mass, and volume constraints<br>- Develop production documentation, standards, templates, and contribute to the internal CAD library&nbsp;Assets:<ul><li>Knowledge of geometrical tolerancing, drawing standards</li><li>Knowledge of space sector</li><li>Experience with NX/Teamcenter, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, MS Visio, Altium and OrCAD is an asset</li></ul>Requirements:<br><ul><li>Bachelorâs degree in Aerospace, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering</li><li>Strong oral, written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Result orientated and exhibits excellent critical thinking</li><li>Works well in a dynamic environment and to a specific set of requirements</li><li>Strives to provide customers/clients with personalized and efficient service.</li><li>Team player that demonstrated high level of integrity</li></ul>]]></description>

            <title><![CDATA[Export Control Specialist ]]></title>

            <description><![CDATA[<br>Reporting to the Manager, Trade Compliance, the <strong>Export Controls Specialist</strong>&nbsp;is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and communicating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable trade controls and regulations set forth by the Canadian and/or United States Governments. The role requires a demonstration of vision in advancing tools, technology, and processes, and the capability to balance the legal implications of current export legislation with the requirements to ensure that business continues in conformance with law, requiring an ability to find creative solutions to problems.<br><br><strong>Key Job Responsibilities</strong><br><ul class="ul1"><li class="li1">Manage Canadian and foreign End-User statements, permits, and licenses, including applying for re-exports retransfer authorizations for US-origin products with the US Department of State or Commerce.</li><li class="li1">Ensure all required permits and licenses are in place for all programs at all stages of contracts, up to final delivery of products.</li><li class="li1">Manage the Export Controls Online (EXCOL) platform and processes, assuring complete accuracy of export permit applications, reporting conditions, and advisory opinions.</li><li class="li1">Serve as a key player for general Canadian and US trade controls, ensuring compliance with US ITAR/EAR regulations, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and the Canadian Exports and Imports Permit Act (EIPA).</li><li class="li1">Liaise with different local and foreign government agencies/officials for trade controls-related matters.</li><li class="li1">Review and keep track of Technical Assistance Agreements, DSP-5s, and other different export approvals.</li><li class="li1">Review and assist in developing processes associated with export controls and security.</li><li class="li1">Act as Alternate Security Officer (ACSO) and Designated Official (DO) to support certain functions under the Controlled Goods and Industrial Security programs.</li><li class="li1">Ensure there is no unauthorized access to CGP or US controlled materials by managing access to segregated computer directories.</li><li class="li1">Provide training on CA/US Export Controls for employees.</li><li class="li1">Report risks to management on a periodic basis, highlighting issues along with strategies for risk mitigation.</li><li class="li1">Devise creative ways to solve export issues as they arise, keeping in mind the business reality of continuing work.</li><li class="li1">Support with daily activities as necessary, including jurisdiction and classification reviews and other export or security-related tasks as assigned by the Manager.</li><li class="li1">Support with compliance investigations.</li></ul><br><strong>Job Requirements</strong><br><ul class="ul1"><li class="li1">A minimum of 2 years experience in export controls.</li><li class="li1">University or College degree in International Trade, Commerce or Law from a recognized institution or 2+ years of relevant experience.</li><li class="li1">Understanding of Canadian and US export laws, including but not limited to ITAR, EAR, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, and the Canadian Exports and Imports Permit Act.</li><li class="li1">Good understanding of anticorruption and due diligence practices, policies, and procedures.</li><li class="li1">Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and with minimum supervision.</li><li class="li1">Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of the organization and with external customers.</li><li class="li1">Possess good judgment and the ability to resolve complex export-related issues.</li><li class="li1">Must be deadline-oriented and flexible, and be able to work under pressure.</li><li class="li1">Good understanding of space technology would be a definite asset.</li><li class="li1">Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the secret level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.</li></ul>]]></description>
